2021-2022 Arrowverse Roundup - Week 32
This
week featured some final goodbyes, and a separation of Earths.
Below is a breakdown of all of the Arrowverse stuff that aired this week. It is part review, part speculation, part analysis, and part rambling. It is organized in the order they aired throughout the week, so feel free to scroll down to whatever ones you watch. Superman & Lois - Episode 2.15 - Waiting For Superman
The story wrapped up quite nicely, and in doing so, separated the show from the Arrowverse, as General Lane called Superman "the world's only hero". But then also featured Diggle. So I think the real status is up in the air. This season wasn't quite as strong as the first, but was still really great. The character work was strong, and it is nice that Lana and Sarah are fully up to speed, as is Chrissy, who took it as well as the rest of us would. I expected Sarah to find out, but not Chrissy. It is nice that she's looped in now.
It will be interesting to see if this show moves to HBO Max now, or remains on the CW. But either way, if s3 is as strong as the first 2, regardless of where you watch it, it should be in good shape.

I can see a version of this story where it was the very end. One that ended the show completely. Not saying s9 is a mistake, as I haven't seen it yet. But the show has been on fumes for a while, and a with a few minor adjustments, this could have been a great send off. However, what we got set up things for the endgame too. I'm very curious what the Caitlin transformation is, and how that will be handled. Is she now just a hybrid of the two? Is she going to be the big bad of s9? (Hope not). I don't know what the next season will bring, but I do hope they get to know if it is their last or not, so they can do things right. The show deserves that. There were some great appearances in this season, and I hope next season has the same caliber of guest stars from the Arrowverse.

The best episode of the week was Superman & Lois. It was a stronger finale, though The Flash did a lot of stuff right this week too.
