2021-2022 Arrowverse Roundup - Week 15

This week featured a ton of secrets being revealed, glances into the future, and a set up for a final showdown.

Below is a breakdown of all of the Arrowverse stuff that aired this week. It is part review, part speculation, part analysis, and part rambling. It is organized in the order they aired throughout the week, so feel free to scroll down to whatever ones you watch. If you want to get caught up, you can use my Arrowverse Viewing Order guide to help you navigate!

Naomi - Episode 1.05 - Shadow Ridge

Naomi's personal life is getting complicated. On top of all of the secrets and superhero stuff, she's still dealing with regular adolescent high school stuff. The "in" of this show was Naomi being a fan of Superman. But that seems to have been abandoned for the sake of a more detailed story. Naomi's parents are finally roped into everything, and they are going to make a difference in the story. The show still feels pretty low key, and because of that, more intimate than some of the other ones.

Superman and Lois - Episode 2.05 - Girl... You'll Be A Woman, Soon

Wow, a lot of stuff came to a head this episode. Secrets were revealed, and relationships are being torn apart. The Bizzaro world is slowly being revealed, but it's being done in a really great way. On top of all of that, the kids both have secrets from each other and their parents. Bombs are going to go off when things get revealed.

Legends of Tomorrow - Episode 7.12 - Too Legit To Quit

The Legends are Legends no more - they all retired and are off the Wave Rider for good! This isn't the last episode, or the last season, so it won't be permanent, but it was nice to see them commit to it, at least for a little while. Gwyn's reunion with Alun was sweet, even if it wasn't real. Because of the trickery though, it should make the real reunion all the sweeter. Matt Ryan was great as Constantine, and is just as good if not better as Gwyn. It's nice to see Ryan's acting range. With Two Gideons in charge of the Wave Rider now, and secrets being kept, things should get interesting in the future.

Batwoman - Episode 3.12 - We're All Mad Here

Marquis has moved further into depravity than ever before, and the deck is stacked against the Bat Team. Alice is having an identity crisis on top of everything else. It is impressive how they kept her story going long after the departure of her family members from the show. Jada is coming around to Ryan, and is being more helpful. It's great to see Sophie and Ryan take the next step in their relationship - we saw that it was still going strong years in the future thanks to The Flash, so this isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

The best episode of the week was Batwoman. Though this was a really strong week, where every episode was quite good.
