2021-2022 Arrowverse Roundup - Week 13

This week featured personal reveals, a surprising villain, a bit of redemption, and a really unique time loop.

Below is a breakdown of all of the Arrowverse stuff that aired this week. It is part review, part speculation, part analysis, and part rambling. It is organized in the order they aired throughout the week, so feel free to scroll down to whatever ones you watch. Naomi - Episode 1.03 - Zero to Sixty

Naomi is getting in deep with everything that is going on, and not her or the audience know exactly what is going on. There are big things happening, but she is slowly unraveling more and more of it. Her quest to steal the disc was pretty clever, even though it didn't really work. Once again her friends were a big part of her quest, so that seems like it'll be a regular thing. Her training is starting in earnest, and her parents are finally being honest with her, which will lead to more exciting possibilities.

Superman and Lois - Episode 2.03 - The Thing In The Mines

The Flash did a story where their star playing the hero also played the villain. It seems that Superman and Lois will do the same thing, but with Bizzaro Superman now. We've seen an evil version of Hoechlin's Superman before, but this is a different thing if it's truly Bizzaro. The family drama isn't going away either, all of that is constantly happening. I'm glad John Henry is still a part of the story, he is a wonderful character. It was nice to see Lois's dad in a slightly different role, where he isn't as antagonistic. We should be seeing Lucy Lane soon too, who we saw in Supergirl years ago. While they recast General Lane, it seems like Lucy will be played by the same actor.

Legends of Tomorrow - Episode 7.10 - The Fixed Point

Every now and then Legends absolutely knocks it out of the park. This is one of those times. This episode was absolutely fantastic in its structure, character development, and surprises. Time loop episodes can be really done as proven by Doctor Who, but they can also get stale. Legends found a new twist to it, which they always do. The reveal of Thawne at the end was truly unexpected, and it will be great to see where that story thread goes, because there is no way that was a one time thing.

Batwoman - Episode 3.10 - Toxic

Mary seems to be at a pit stop in her journey at the moment, so it's nice to have her back instead of her Poison Ivy alter ego. She is going to have to grapple with killing somebody, but lots of good will come of her guilt now, I'd guess. Sophie and Ryan finally kissed, which will lead to more. We saw that they were together in the future via The Flash, so it's nice to see the origin of that. The real Poison Ivy is going off the grid for now, but I doubt that is the end of things. She will most definitely be back. But it looks like the show is going to focus on Ryan's brother for the time being, which will be this show's version of the Joker.

The best episode of the week was Legends of Tomorrow. Really great storytelling from top to bottom.
