2021 Arrowverse Roundup - Week 30

This week featured a family temptation, answers to the past, and recruitment for a new team.

Below is a breakdown of all of the Arrowverse stuff that aired this week. It is part review, part speculation, part analysis, and part rambling. It is organized in the order they aired throughout the week, so feel free to scroll down to whatever ones you watch. If you want to get caught up, you can use my Arrowverse Viewing Order guide to help you navigate!

Legends of Tomorrow - Episode 6.14 - There Will Be Brood

This episode finally ave us answers to Spooner's story, and it was a good one. They did a great job getting us emotionally invested in her, and so the payoff was a wonderful one.

Constantine had a tragic end, though there will probably be a bit more to his resolution in the finale. Matt Ryan did a wonderful job as Constantine in the Arrowverse, and I look forward to what his next character will be like.

All of the stories have converged. Bishop, Constantine, Spooner, the fountain of imperium, all play into each other, and it was done wonderfully.

Stargirl - Episode 2.04 - Summer School: Chapter Four

Some old faces returned to wreak havoc and watch some football. The Crocks were fun characters in season 1, so it was nice to revisit them again. But it wasn't just filler, their return and their daughter's story will all play into the larger picture.

Cindy has begun recruiting her ISA, that will eventually include Mike. I guess the way to go is to have kids vs kids, as the kids vs adults thing can be played wrong if not doe carefully.

It seems that everyone has secrets though, and no one is being completely upfront with them. That is going to cause issues later on, and probably not a good idea, but they're human - and high school kids - so secrets are bound to happen.

Supergirl - Episode 6.09 - Dream Weaver

The show got to give some juicy stuff to some of its supporting characters. Nia and Kelly had really important stuff to do this week.

Nia was tempted by Nxy via her mother, and that will cause ramifications for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, Kelly took her first step in becoming the next Guardian.

Kara still got to do good in the world. She wasn't sidelined for the other characters, which sometimes happens. It's nice that all 3 women they wanted to focus on got to have their dues this episode. All 3 stories will probably come back into play, so it will be fun to see that unfold.

Legends of Tomorrow was the best episode of the week. Penultimate episodes are usually the best so this is no surprise.
