2021 Arrowverse Roundup - Week 20

 

This week featured another adventure in Smallville.

Below is a breakdown of all of the Arrowverse stuff that aired this week. It is part review, part speculation, part analysis, and part rambling. Superman & Lois - Episode 1.08 - Holding The Wrench

This show continues to impress. At first, the Lois in therapy string seems random, but it is the most important part of the episode. The acting in this episode is the best it has ever been. Bitsie Tulloch in particular did some of her best work.

She really destroyed her son with her words, and has to work on that. Meanwhile, they got the full story on "Steel" and the alt-world Lois that he was married to. Both Clark and Lois now know that the evil Superman killed Lois. But their kids know it too. That isn't going away anytime soon. It will be wholly important in the future, if I had to guess.

The seeds are planted for Steel's daughter to come into the fold, she might become a full fledged part of this family, though that is going to take a lot of work. But it seems that Lois is going to get the daughter she lost back. At least, they can go that way if they want to.

This show just gets Superman right. It is the bright spot of the Arrowverse right now, and I can't wait to see what happens next.

The best episode of the week was Superman & Lois, as there was no other choice. Still, it would have probably been in the running even with a full slate.
