Thor is the only original Avenger to get a 4th solo movie, and has appeared in every Avengers movie to date. So what reason would there be to warrant a 4th solo outing (and an 8th adventure)? The answer it turns out, is love (and some thunder). Taika Waititi returned to the MCU after the colorful tonal shift he made to the character in Thor: Ragnarok . A lot of the same vibes return here to Love and Thunder which begins with Thor trying find his place in the universe post Endgame , while physically finding himself with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The film is a brisk (by MCU standards) 1 hour and 59 minutes, and wastes no time in setting up the villain, and plot of the entire movie. After a bit of catch up from the various players in the story and some larger MCU housekeeping, the movie takes off at a comfortably fast pace, and Waititi always keeps things moving without leaving anyone behind. Men In Black   used to be king of the summer blockbuster. The franchise has seen diminishing returns since its debut in 1997. The first Will Smith-less entry into the franchise, Men In Black: International  is finally here and it gave us something familiar, but not enough new and fresh to warrant an argument for.

It is a rare feat when a movie turns into an event before it is even released. It is even rarer for that movie to be filled with fan service from beginning to end and still be mostly satisfying. Avengers: Endgame does just that. It wraps up 11 years of storytellng, and still secures the franchises future for many years to come. There are some vague spoilers throughout, and while I appreciate your click, I urge you to NOT read this until after you've seen the movie.

Every year there is a movie that surprises everyone. Bad Times At The El Royale  is that movie this year. You don't see pulpy noir thrillers anymore, let alone great  pulpy noir thrillers. Director Drew Goddard did outstanding work, crafting one of the best movies of the year.

Well here it is, one of the biggest events of the millennium. Avengers: Infinity War is the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe so far. I don't know if anything would stand up to my expectations, but this came close. It wasn't a perfect film, but the good far outweighed the bad. The Thor franchise has always been the step child of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man and Captain America have consistently overshadowed it. It was still a marketable and popular franchise, but it never really could carve out a path for itself...until now. Thor: Ragnarok is the brain child of Taika Waititi, who makes strange and weird films like What We Do in the Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople.
